Roger has been involved with the sport in England for some thirty years where he has undertaken a number of key volunteer roles. However as well as his considerable basketball knowledge he brings to British Basketball his extensive experience from his formidable professional career to date. This includes being Director of the Greater Manchester Youth Games in Stockport (1989-90), serving as a Senior Regional Officer with the GB Sports Council (1990- 96), being Director of the UKSI Project Team (1996-99), and being the first Director of the UK Sports Institute (1999-2002).

Since 2003 Roger has been Chief Executive of Leisure Partners Ltd which is a specialist company dedicated to provide a range of high quality services in sports consultancy, health and fitness management and leisure trust consultancy.
