The weekend, which takes place over the 14th-16th August (Fri-Sun), will comprise of Game On At The O2 - where the GB Basketball team will host Poland, Turkey and Israel in a four nations basketball series, the Dextro Energy Triathlon ITU World Championship London in Hyde Park and the Modern Pentathlon World Championships which take place in Crystal Palace National Sports Centre.

The Mayor was joined at the launch of London's Warm-up Weekend at London's City Hall by 6' 11" GB basketball player Dan Clarke and Tri-athlete Rachel Joyce.

Boris Johnson, the Mayor of London said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for Londoners to watch world-class athletes at some of the capital's finest sporting venues and the first real chance to experience action at future Olympic locations like Hyde Park. As London 'warms-up' to welcome the world in 2012, let's cheer on our GB athletes and 2012 hopefuls - I hope that events like this will inspire more young Londoners to get involved in sports activity, even inspiring future winners.'
As part of the weekend activities Londoners and visitors to the capital will have the opportunity to purchase an official London Warm-Up weekend combined ticket which will give them a chance to watch all three Olympic sports across the weekend as well as cheering on a number of GB hopefuls who will be competing across all three events. The price of the combined ticket will be £20 for an adult ticket and £55 for a family of 4, which gives them entrance and special reserved seating for all three events.
