Trailing throughout the first and second quarters, GB found themselves down 25-20 at the half. However, they came out strong in the third, scoring almost as much as they had the entire first half and were up by two points in the final period.
The fourth quarter proved to be a hard fought battle. GB took a three point lead with 3:00 on the clock, but couldn't hold off the late surge from Greece after they hit back-to-back three pointers in the final minute of the game. GB was forced to foul on the next possession to try and regain the ball, but Greece sealed the victory by hitting both free-throws.
"It was a great test of character for the girls because they had to play in front of a pretty rowdy crowd and had to deal with the heat," said head coach Sergio Lara-Bercial.
"Tonight was a perfect example of what the European Championshio atmosphere will be like and I thought that the girls handled it well. There are a lot of things that we can take from tonight."
This was the last test game for Great Britain, as they will travel to Ohrid on Saturday 4 July and prepare to play against Greece in the opening round of the European Championships.
