"It was a tough game. We went in with the right mind set but just couldn't pull it out in the end," said Handy.
"We knew it was going to be a hard game because they had done so well in their group, so we had to be ready but they got the best of us in the long run.
"We are getting better as we play more together but there are still a lot of things that we need to work on and get better at in order to perform at this level and be a team that others worry about.
"Even though the game didn't go our way the girls fought hard and no one gave up."
GB play Poland tomorrow at 12:30 (local time), where a win would ensure their involvement in the 5/6th playoff position.
"Poland is going to be a game that we have to be ready for , they had a strong game against the USA only losing by 10," continued Handy.
"So they are going to be confident coming into the game against us. We will go in confident and ready to play, focusing on winning possessions and playing team defence."
