Kelsey Bardsley led a balanced Britain offence with 19 points and five steals. She was one of six players in double figures as coach Sergio Lara-Bercial gave all of his roster some court action. Harriett Yea finished with 13 points, six rebounds and three assists, with Mary Durojaye scoring 13 and pulling down seven rebounds, and Nicky Avery, Ruth Davison and Tamzin Barroilhet also finishing with double digit points. Avery also added three assists.
GB won every statistical category except blocked shots as they collected their fourth win of the competition. Jelena Antik led the home side with 20 points and 12 points, but the Macedonians only had one other player in double figures - Vanesa Vasilevska on ten points.
Bardsley gave Britain the lead after six seconds of play, but the hosts did make GB battle for the opening period, and although Yea kept them ahead with a pair of free-throws, Macedonia grabbed the lead with 7:28 on the clock following an Antik basket.
The teams were tied at eight with four minutes of the period remaining before the hosts went on a 7-0 run capped by an Antik trey to lead 15-8 at the two minute mark.
That proved to be as good as it got for Macedonia, and five Bardsley points in a 9-1 run sent Britain into the first break with a 17-16 lead.
It took 130 seconds for Britain to trouble the scorers in the second period as Macedonia took a 20-17 lead. It was a pair of Yea free-throws that launched the decisive Britain run, and they grabbed the lead for good with 7:42 on the clock following Dominique Allen's jump shot off Yea's assist.
Avery wrapped up the run with a trey followed by a two-pointer to put Britain 32-20 ahead with 2:26 on the clock, and they went into the locker room with a 42-26 lead after Avery scored from downtown with 18 seconds remaining.
Antik opened the second half scoring, but Britain steadily built their lead, with a Barroilhet free-throw extending their lead to 54-34 at the midway stage of the third period.
The hosts never managed to get the margin below 16 during the rest of the quarter, and an Allen basket with 81 seconds left sent Britain into the final period with a 62-38 lead.
Antik again opened the scoring in the fourth quarter, but Britain never looked in trouble as their lead great to 72-43 after three minutes following a Davison jump shot.
Their lead never dipped below 25 again, and a Leah Deehan three-pointer wrapped up the scoring for Lara Bercial's team as they sealed a winning record in the competition.
