Friday's game against Poland saw London born Clark make his senior GB debut having missed last summer's Eurobasket qualifying due to club commitments, and looked tentative at times. But by Saturday evening is looked much more composed, draining a pair of threes on the way to an eight-point, seven rebounds and five steal performance.
While his side slipped to 0-2 in the four team competition Finch was happy with their performance:
"It was a big step forward for us compared to last night, I thought we only played for half the game on Friday, but against Turkey we were right there all the time. We're not pretty but it's still early, and we were very solid on defence, and we had the shots - they just didn't drop.
"I thought we played hard on Friday, but tonight we just had more purpose. We concentrated better, especially during the second half which is where we lose it on Friday."
Finch had praise for the Turkish team, who now go into Sunday's game against Poland as the only side in the competition with a perfect record: "Down the stretch you saw a class team who got production from all five of their players. They're an extremely talented side, and I'm pleased with how we played against them."
Turkey's NBA star Hedo Turkoglu was also impressed with the Britain team: "Tonight we played hard, they're a good team, but as a group we played physical and we had to be prepared. It was a good game for, the British team played hard but in the end we pulled away."
Turkoglu is hopeful that Britain's Pops Mensah-Bonsu will join him at Toronto Raptors next season: "I wish I had that power to pick him as a team-mate but I think I've used my credit up. It would be good to play with him."
Mensah-Bonsu has missed the tournament while he sorts out an NBA contract, and is rumoured to be linking up with Turkoglu and the Raptors in Canada.
