"In terms of preparation for the [European] Championship, it's good to play these kind of games. We have another tournament in Ankara, and both competitions will help us.
"It's good for us to find out how we're playing. We practice a lot so it's good to have the games to find out how good we are. It's nice to see the players, they are not in good shape but they know how to win the games. We were down in third quarter on Saturday and won, and today we didn't play well but we found a way to win the game."
Turkey won a bruising encounter against Team GB on Saturday, breaking a tied game open in the fourth period, and Panjevic was pleased with how his team had reacted in the situation, and was delighted with the form shown by tournament Most Valuable Player Ersan Ilyasova:
"We look to these tournaments as preparation, and it's good to play the games as you can't be prepared without them. Ersan Ilyasova played well physically and mentally, and that was good to see. We have all of our players with us now, and they are getting better slowly."
Turkish guard Engin Atsur was impressed with the tournament of Turkey said: "It was fun to play in this tournament. There was a good atmosphere and great games and I thought the spectators were into it.
"For us we were happy to see our fans in England. It is good to see basketball in Britain is getting much bigger and this was a nice tournament.
"There was a great level of competition, I mean we struggled every game, but of course we are in the situation where we are having a lot of practices and are not yet in the best shape but the level was high and it was a great competition before the start of the European Championships."
