Ron Wuotila, Head of Basketball Operations from British Basketball was there to watch as Coach Jennings, alongside Coach Van Camp, brought Team Blue to victory, winning by a close 2 points. Wuotila said:
"This was a well deserved piece of recognition for Damian, as he was part of a strong group of coaches in the FIBA Europe programme. He has committed a significant amount of time to his development as a coach and Great Britain, as well as the UWIC programme, are the beneficiaries."
Jennings told British Basketball:
"It was a real honour to be representing Wales & Great Britain in such a prestigious FIBA tournament and leading one of the teams in the very first U18 All-Star game which by the sounds of it will continue to be played before the quarter finals of all Men's Eurobasket competitions going forward"
"Of course winning helped make the event even more special but it really was simply an incredible experience working alongside the legend that is Svetislav Pesic, my colleagues from the FECC and the best U18's Europe has to offer."
The final score was 77-75 after Lithuania's Jonas Valanciunas earned his 'MVP' title by pulling out all the stops in the last 7 minutes to score 6 points adding to his game total of 18.
