Meanwhile in the NBA D-League coach Chris Finch continued his winning start with the Rio Grande Valley. Their 97-88 win over Austin keeps Finch's Vipers in second place in the Western Conference with a 4-1 record.
Eric Boateng was the only Brit to feature in the NCAA on Tuesday night, however Arizona State lost 68-81 to the BYU Cougars. Boateng hit 6 points in 24 minutes.
Azania Stewart's Florida Gators also suffered defeat, they lost 51-38 to the Rutgers in the Jimmy V classic. A devastating 20-1 run that ended the first half and stretched into the second proved too much for the Gators to bounce back from.
There was better news for Jo Leedham, who hit a game-high double-double of 29 points and 12 rebounds in Franklin Pierce's 67-62 win over Massachusetts Lowell. The victory means the Ravens remain undefeated this season with a 6-0 record.
Also enjoying a win was GB's World University Games captain Chantelle Handy who in Marshall University's 56-47 triumph over George Washington.
Finally across the Pond in Italy, Louise Gamman was on the losing end of a 75-61 scoreline. Despite leading the boards with 16 points her side Fila San Martino suffered their second consecutive loss on the road.
