Friday saw the Chicago Bulls pull off a surprise 115-104 win over the Phoenix Suns in the NBA, with Deng netting 23 points, six rebounds, three assists, a steal and a block in his action packed 39 minutes on court. Meanwhile in the D-League, Finch's Rio Grande Valley Vipers outplayed and outscored the Erie BayHawks in all four periods to secure a comfortable away victory 110-88, and Nurse's Iowa team beat the Fort Wayne Mad Ants 112-101.
Deng and the Bulls continued their winning form at the Houston Rockets on Saturday with a 104-97 victory, their sixth win in eight games. Deng had a fairly quiet night in comparison to his previous game, scoring just 12 points in 36 minutes of playing time. And in the D-League, both Finch and Nurse took on and defeated the same opposition, 100-94 and 120-97 respectively, to continue their great seasons at the top of the table.
Ben Gordon's groin injury kept him sidelined while his Detroit Piston team-mates went down twice at home losing to the Indiana Pacers 105-93 on Friday and the Portland Trailblazers 97-93 on Saturday.
