Pops Mensah-Bonsu's CSKA Moscow came out victorious last night, 86-78 in their showdown against Unicaja Malaga and his two GB Standard Life team-mates Joel Freeland and Robert Archibald.
GB Standard Life forward Mensah Bonsu only played seven minutes of his first game for the Russian club, scoring three points, two of which coming from a dunk, a rebound and a steal.
Archibald put in the star Brit performance recording 16 points on six for eight shooting, five rebounds, an assist and a steal, while Freeland finished with a respectable eight points, five rebounds, an assist and a steal after 15 minutes of court action.
Last night’s clash was CSKA's eighth consecutive win, whilst Unicaja has now lost four of its last six games.
