Playing their fourth game in five nights the Bulls broke a three game losing streak with a close victory over the visiting Miami Heat 95-91 on Saturday. Deng was the top-scorer of the game with 25 points, making nine of 11 free throws, adding seven rebounds and two assists in his 39 minutes of action. The win puts the 24-25 Bulls ahead of the 24-27 Heat and the 24-25 Charlotte Bobcats and into sixth place in the Eastern Conference playoff race.
Ben Gordon - Detroit Pistons, NBA
The Pistons came out fighting on Saturday to record their second defeat of the New Jersey Nets in five nights, 92-99, at The Palace of Auburn Hills. Gordon scored five points, two rebounds and two assists in 22 minute of court time. The victory comes after losing to the Indiana Pacers, 107 - 83, the previous night despite Gordon coming off the bench to score 26 points.
Eric Boateng - Arizona State University, NCAA Div 1
Arizona State went down 79-56 against the Washington Huskies on Saturday leaving them both in a five-way tie for second place in the Pacific 10 Conference. Boateng recorded nine points, seven rebounds and an assist in 26 minutes of playing time.
Justin Robinson - Rider University, NCAA Div 1
The Rider Broncs lost a Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference game, 80-73, to Loyola on Friday night breaking their three game winning streak. Robinson finished with a game-high 19 points, as five Broncs scored in double figures, plus three rebounds, three steals and an assist in 35 minutes on court.
