Twenty of the NBA D-League's top prospects were selected to be All-Stars by a combination of fan balloting on nba.com and voting by the league's 16 head coaches, whilst GB coaches Finch and Nurse were chosen on their teams (Rio Grande Valley & Iowa Energy) having the highest winning percentage.
Points were shared throughout the West Conference team, with no less than 6 players scoring double figures. Brian Butch from Bakersfield Jam top scored with 18 points and was awared MVP, with notable contributions coming from Rio Grande Valley Forward Michael Harris (14), Diamon Simpson representing Los Angeles D-Fenders (15) and Austin Toros pair Dwayne Jones and Alonzo Gee adding 13 and 10 respectively. For the East Conference team it was Nick Nurse's very own Earl Barron from Iwoa Energy who top scored with 20 points.
After the game Chris Finch commented "It was great to coach against Nick today. The NBA put on a great show and the players played hard. The guys know that many NBA teams are watching this game closely. The game provides another opportunity for everyone to showcase their skills."
Nurse added "Chris has done a good job at Rio Grande Valley and finishing first in our divisions gave us this unique opportunity."
Whilst together in Dallas, Nurse also alluded to the fact that that the GB Standard Life team was also very much on their radar "We spent some time on GB plans - I can't wait for the summer season to start"
