Johannah Leedham became the first Division II women's basketball player to score 3,000 points as her 34 points secured a third straight NCAA Division II East Regional Tournament Championship.
The Ravens looked to Leedham for inspiration and she did not disappoint; sinking two freethrows with 15 seconds left to send the game into overtime, where she sunk the final bucket from the charity strip to give her side an 82-79 win against Holy Family. The result means the Ravens advance to the NCAA Division II Elite Eight and will face either Delta Sate or Arkansas Tech in the quarterfinals on Tuesday 23 March.
While in Japan Dzaflo Larkai topscored with 22 points to give Hamamatsu a 102-85 win over Kyoto Hannahryz, and keep them top of the Eastern BJ League.
