After an exchange of point streaks the teams were neck-and-neck 15-14 at the end of the first quarter. The Vipers took a 35-27 lead by the mid-point of the second quarter which was countered by a 13-2 run from the 66ers to take a 43-39 lead with 20 seconds remaining, but a foul on Mike Harris and three converted free-throws brought the Vipers back within one point going into the locker room.
At the opening of the third quarter the Vipers reclaimed the lead 55-53, but another come back by the 66ers saw them end the quarter with a 67-63 lead. After a continued tussle for the lead in the final quarter, Harris hit a lay-up to tie the game 91-91 with 55.5 seconds left on the clock.
Over in the NBA, the Chicago Bulls and Luol Deng's season came to an end yesterday as they went down 4-1 in the first round series of the playoffs against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
