"We know our qualities lie in our transition speed, offensive boards and physicality inside. Our game plan rarely changes because we have worked so closely on these aspects, but I am also very proud of the style and European flavour of basketball we are mixing with British athleticism and physicality. We are ready to progress, but we are always working on things we wish to do better.
"Our defensive transition has been hit and miss for me, so with Israel being quick with a very gifted lead guard we certainly will want to get that right for the game."
Jennings is impressed with the quality of the competition in Macedonia. "The tournament has been extremely close and tough thus far. Group B has shown to be closely contended with strong physical games and several last minute big calls to finish off opponents.
Group A has seen three teams (Portugal, Slovak Republic and Israel) that have scrapped and taken each other tight and deservedly place themselves in a quarter finals."
One of the features of GB's success, which has seen them win three of their four games, has been Jennings' use of his full squad, and he is pleased with the depth of his roster: "From the very start we have rotated 12 players" he said.
"It has not simply been in order to manage tournament endurance, but genuinely because we have 12 players who can contribute a similar level, albeit with various attributes. We have known from the start that we do not have one or two superstars like perhaps other countries, but we do boast 12 players with an incredible dynamic and chemistry, show no fear, and will simply 'have a go'.
"To highlight a few it has been great to see 1991's (year they were born) such as Rebecca Allison and Katrin Chiemeka really cause problems for teams in the one-on-one battle at both ends. Both players are very quick, can score and have the ability to lock down the one, two or three spot.
"All our 1994/5's have been strong on the offensive boards as that has been a feature of our emphasis since day one of camp. Mairi Buchan may lead the rebounding stats, but she is closely followed by Mary Durojaye, Kashmere Joseph and Hannah Shaw - all committing serious contributions to our rebounding.
"Since the actual tournament started both our wings Tamzin Barroilhet and Charlotte Stoddart have started to make significant impacts on their match-up's, and both have brought a subtle but effective defensive detail to our game. Their scoring touch is also starting to find rhythm and their offensive contributions will become even more important to us down the stretch.
"Our 1992's have also begun to make an impact. Both Ella Clark and Renee Busch have earned and deserved their minutes. I have been a little cautious and protective over both since the tournament play started, but their current play upon reflection has provided me no reason to be, and I just know this experience is proving critical to their futures. Much credit should also go to Josephine Salmon as she has turned around a last minute re-selection into an opportunity for real growth. As a 1991, the experience she is gaining here can only bode well for her and GB under-20s next year."
Jennings has special praise for Chester-born point guard Kristie Sheils: "Perhaps the most impacting of the group has been Kristie, as she has simply matured with limitless progression at the starting lead guard spot. Like any young player there are wobbles, but she really has led this group with an infectious positive quality and tactically is becoming more astute by the day!"
