BasketballWales will host a Coaching Clinic on Sunday 20th April 2008 at UWIC, Cardiff. The clinic is aimed at both new and experienced coaches so there will be a variety of sessions tailored for different needs. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain further knowledge from expert deliverers, including Damian Jennings and Duncan French who are part of the Great Britain Basketball staff this year.
Damian Jennings is British Basketball's Women's Assistant Coach, the UWIC Archers & Wales Senior Women's Head Coach, and a BasketballWales Coach Tutor. Jennings is an engaging and inspiring deliverer, who has been identified by British Basketball and BasketballWales as a leading coach of the future and was awarded Wales' only place on the prestigious FIBA Europe Coaching Certificate.
Dr Duncan French is the British Basketball's full time Strength and Conditioning Coach. French has worked with elite athletes from many sports and gained his PhD from Connecticut University whilst being involved with their NCAA programme. FIBA selected him as the S&C expert to deliver on the European Coaching Certificate.
