Sanders is on a short-term deal with the club after his season in Sweden ended, prematurely and disappointingly, with Gothia Basket failing to make the play-offs.
Now the 6'8" forward is planning ahead to next season and, after seeking the advice of Finch, Sanders wants to return to his homeland and play professionally in Britain for the first time.
Sanders told Basketball 24/7: "My team in France is close to the Belgian border so I went to Mons recently to see the GB guys and Coach Finch and he told me he believes the best place for me to play next year is England.
"I had never really thought of playing there before but the idea has really grown on me. I have played in four countries over the past three seasons and that's tough.
"Playing in England would take away all the discomfort that goes with being in a different country and culture. There wouldn't be a language issue and it would be nice to be able to have family and friends watch a few games.
"However, I'm not just going to jump at any club in the BBL. It has to be the right situation for me.
"If I'm going to come and play in England, I want it to be a step forward. I don't want to take any steps back in my career, I want to develop and improve and, hopefully, go on to higher levels."
Sanders' worth ethic and attitude made him an instant hit with Finch and the GB squad over the past two summers.
And, although he will have to compete with European-based forwards such as Nick George and Pops Mensah-Bonsu for a place on the 2008 squad, Sanders is relishing the challenge.
Sanders admitted: "For the past couple of years, my main focus has been on the national team.
"Playing for GB over the past couple of summers has been the most enjoyable part of my basketball career and is something I think about all season long."
