"It"s massively important to have someone like Andrea on the staff, not only because of the wealth of experience she has but also because she is aching to pass it on to all the girls and I"m sure they will look up to her and find a great role model,"€ said Lara-Bercial.
"The goals of this campaign are to educate the players as to what it takes to play at the highest level, to give them tools they can take away and to give them a taste of performance coaching and high-level competition, which will get them closer to being able to step up to the senior team.
"In my view a high number of the players in the U20s have a good chance of being in London 2012.
"Getting promotion to the A Division at U20 level would give the girls joining the programme in years to come a great environment in which to develop their game as well as putting British youth basketball on the map as a testament to all the hard work being done up and down the country."€Â

The men"s U20 head coach Tim Lewis also highlighted the importance of having experience on his staff team:
"The addition of Roger Huggins as assistant coach will be a tremendous asset to both the coaching staff and the players involved.
"We have an exciting group of players with the likes of Ashley Hamilton, Matthew Bryan-Amaning to name but a few, combined with a number of younger developing talents with huge potential.
"With strength and depth in the squad, this looks to be a promising summer with plenty of opportunity for players to place themselves in a position of involvement for future GB programmes building towards 2012."€Â
Matthew Bryan-Amaning in particular spoke of his excitement at the prospect of 2012 and also that he was selected for Chris Finch"s 33-man provisional squad.
"I am really excited to have the possibility of playing in 2012 and playing against the best players,"€ said the London-born forward.
"I was also happy to have been recognised by coach Finch. My personal goal this summer though is to play the best I can and do what I can to help the team.
"I haven"t seen how they (the team) have improved but hopefully they will all come back and play well.
"Luol (Deng) and I grew up playing together. It"s such an inspiration knowing that someone I grew up with has made it."€Â
