The performance of the team was improved over the previous day with a reduction in turnovers and better looks at the basket on offense. Lapses in the second and fourth quarter allowed the Dutch to go on runs that were difficult to counter.
Leah Dehaan, who lead the team in scoring on day one, sat out with a minor knee injury.
Leading scorers were as follows:
Yea 14
Anderson 12
Stoddart 12
Buchan 10
Coach Sergio Lara-Bercial noted progress from day one, "The team has been hampered for several days with this bug and it was good to see them work hard today. We took some significant steps today and, given that we are one week into our preparation period I am pleased with where we are at. We will benefit from a day off on Monday and look forward to our match on Tuesday."
The U20s tip-off against the Canadians in Almere at 4pm local time.
