British Basketball performance manager Ron Wuotila said: ""All of us in the British basketball community have a great opportunity between now and 2012 to bring attention to our sport. A key element of this opportunity will involve the further development of those programmes that support players in our performance pathways.
"The PMG have established five areas of emphasis for coaches and players across Great Britain to focus on. Further development in these areas will result in Great Britain producing players who are even more capable of playing to their potential and taking on the very best players in Europe."
