The Israelis, led by 28 points from Taj Burnstein led from tip to buzzer, with their advantage as high as 24 during the final period.

Michal Lampe led the Polish scoring with 22 points and five rebounds, but only David Logan joined him in double figures with 15 points.

Lior Ellyahu opened the second period scoring with a pair from the charity stripe to take Israel into a double digit lead again.
Poland responded with scores from David Logan and Roszyk to force an Israel time-out, but an Amit Tamir trey saw the lead grow to 11 at the midway stage of the period.
A 6-0 run capped by Roszyk's uncontested lay-up saw Israel coach Zvi Sherf call another timeout with his team 32-27 ahead and 4:05 ahead.
Lampe converted a lay-up off Michal Ignerski's assist, and was fouled in the process, leaving him to convert the bous and make it 32-30 in Israel's favour.
That was close as they came in the half, though, and an 8-0 run put Israel back up by ten before Scubarga hit a pair from the free-throw line, but it was Israel who went into the locker room with a 41-32 lead.
Taj Burnstein opened the second half with a trey to take his tally to 15 and make it a 12 points game, and he quickly repeated the trick to put Israel 47-32 ahead.
That run grew to 13-2 forcing a Poland time-out with the Israelis 54-34 ahead at the 7:07 mark.
Fillip Dylewicz jammed the ball home to give the large number of Polish fans in the crowd a lift, but as their team continued to turn the ball over, the Israel lead stood at 60-38 going into the final three minutes of the third period.
Lampe scored the final points of the third period with a nice jump shot, but his team still trailed 65-45 going into the fourth quarter.
Israel captain Ellyahu converted a four point play to open the final stanza , an d although Ignerski hit a trey in reply, Israel remained in control.
However, Szubarga picked up an offensive rebound and netted from close range to make it 74-57 with 5:59 remaining, and force an Israel timeout.
Ama Tamir drained a trey out of the timeout to apparently end any comeback hopes the Poles may have had.
However, a Logan trey made it a 12-point game, and he hit another three to take it down to single figures with 69 seconds remaining.
Guy Pniny ended the run with an and-one, and Harpring wrapped things up with a great move to give Israel their first victory in the competition.
