GB have lost their opening two test games, against Canada and Finland, by four point each, but head coach Chris Finch is happy with the way his team is coming together.
"The general feeling is that there are lots to be pleased about. We progressing well, and as we move on to Israel we'll be looking to improve on the little things, both defensively and offensively."
Belgium missed out on a place in EuroBasket 2009 after losing out on a two-leg play-off with France, finishing an extended qualifying campaign with a 6-6 record. They will look to go one better this summer when they are in a qualifying group alongside Poland, Portugal, Bulgaria and Georgia.
Hosts Israel did make it to Poland for the championship finals last summer, having finished second to GB in the qualifying group.
The teams fought out two titanic battles in the qualifying stage with Israel securing a controversial 102-92 overtime win in Tel Aviv before GB gained revenge with a 96-86 victory at Echo Arena in Liverpool.
That proved to be as good as it got for both teams as neither managed to win a game in the EuroBasket finals.
While GB could justifiably look at that as part of the learning curve for a new basketball programme, it was Israel's worst performance in the bi-annual championship since 1993, and they will be looking for an improvement this summer.
Wednesday opponents Holland are the only Dvision B team in the four-team tournament. They finished second in their group in 2008/9 but failed to qualify for the promotion play-off round. With the two divisions merging in 2012, the Dutch will look upon this tournament as a chance to play against the kind of sides they will be up against as they try to qualify for EuroBasket 2013.
