This type of game requires little – a court, on the short edges of which structures with baskets are installed.
A basketball basket, like a basketball backboard, must meet certain requirements. These elements, above all, are made so strong to ensure complete safety of the competing athletes.

The ring with a diameter of forty-five centimeters is considered standard.
It is also allowed to increase this parameter to a maximum of forty-five and seven centimeters. Basketball basket ring always has a bright orange coloring. Strong metal is used to make the ring, with a standard diameter of at least sixteen millimeters.
The maximum size of the basketball ring thickness is allowed twenty millimeters. Among other things, it provides special devices required for the installation of the net. These fasteners should not allow the player to injure his fingers. It is for this purpose that the rings are made in such a way that there are no gaps and sharp edges.
The way to hang the ring
A shield is mounted on the rack at right angles. At the same time the post is placed no closer than two meters from the face line. This structure is installed so that it is impossible to move it. It is the basket that is screwed down firmly, so that the loads affecting it do not affect the position of the shield.
It is not forbidden rings with shock absorbers. Here it is important that the following conditions are met:
- the rebound characteristics of the ball;
- Other parameters must not be modified in comparison with the standard version.
The distance from the ring to the front side of the backboard is strictly fifteen centimeters.

The shield is equipped with a mount to install it on a pole or hang it on a wall: a rigid mounting is required to prevent the product from rocking or shifting.
The size of the product is 1.8×1.05 meters, and the distance from the edge to the floor must be 2.9 meters. The NBA has set the following standards: the size of the shield is 72×42 inches.
Shields should be two, they are installed at opposite ends of the field, the material – durable and resistant to impact (eg, tempered glass, acrylic, wood). The surface is marked with lines, it must be smooth. The models of nonstationary basketball backboards with a net use the same mounting elements as in the brackets for the suspension of the punching bags. This allows you to support a lot of weight and fix it securely.
